REBUILT OVER THE SUMMER BREAK

The brief

Riverwood Public School had one student bathroom block — the only one on site — decades past its best and below current standards. It had to be rebuilt to SINSW, EFSG, NCC and Australian Standards inside the Christmas shutdown, because the school cannot open without it.

What we did

Complete strip-out and rebuild within the holiday window: demolition of fixtures, partitions and finishes; new hydraulic services throughout; new wall linings and ceilings; certified wet-area waterproofing; tiling; new cubicle partitions, stainless troughs and fixtures selected for durability and hygiene. Trade sequencing planned to the day, with testing, commissioning and final clean completed with margin to spare.

The outcome

Handover before Day 1 of Term 1 — the deadline with no fallback. The school's only bathroom block went from its worst facility to its newest: bright, hygienic, durable, compliant.

“The school's only bathroom block, stripped to structure and rebuilt — handed over before Day 1 of Term 1.”
